REACH (Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals) is the EC1907/2006 Regulation that replaced all earlier legislation on chemical authorization in the European Union on June 1, 2007. (EU). Indeed, it establishes a unified system for “existing” and “new” substances produced in or imported into the EU in quantities greater than 1 tonne per year. REACH is a European policy that has an impact on industries all around the world.
Industry has a responsibility under REACH to guarantee that the chemicals it manufactures, imports, and puts on the market in the EU do not have a negative impact on human health or the environment. It mandates that all chemical manufacturers and importers into the European Union (EU) report data on hazard, usage, and risk for all substances.
